Danish film festival to screen Iranian animations

The VOID International Animation Film Festival will be hosting a dozen Iranian animations in this year’s event, showcasing the widespread talent in the animation industry of a country where freedom of artistic expression is most certainly a given.

The festival will be hosting ‘The Last Fiction’, a feature length animated film produced by Ashkan Rahgozar, along with an entire section named ‘New Iranian Shorts’ which will feature 11 Iranian short animations.

In what some have called the best Iranian short animations from the last few years, the ‘New Iranian Shorts’ section will feature:

‘Mr. Deer’ by Mojtaba Mousavi

‘Run Rostam Run’ by Hossein Molayemi

‘The Fox’ by Sadegh Javadi Nikjeh

‘The Servant’ by Farnoush Abedi

The VOID International Animation Film Festival is an event that brings together animation lovers along with producers and professionals in the field from around the world, while seeking to utilize the industry’s unused potential.

The fourth edition of the VOID Filmfest is set to be held on January 24-February 2, 2019 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
